About us

Transforming Pediatric Orofacial Medicine and Airway through Expertise and Innovation

In our organization, where our commitment to advancing pediatric healthcare of the pediatric airway and orofacial development is anchored in groundbreaking research and a dedication to improving the lives of children. Our journey begins with the pioneering work of Dr. Christian Guilleminault, who introduced the Collapsed Orofacial Development Syndrome (CODS) – a syndromic model encompassing a circuit of obstructive breathing, frequent infections, skeletal malocclusions, incorrect phonation, abnormal positioning, and altered sleep.

Dr. Guilleminault’s insights have not only shaped our understanding of CODS but have also illuminated the broader spectrum of Obstructive Sleep Disordered Breathing (OSDB). Despite their high prevalence, both CODS and OSDB remain largely underdiagnosed, particularly in industrialized countries. This underlines the urgent need for early detection and a transdisciplinary team approach to treatment.

Our commitment extends beyond research and diagnosis. We believe in equipping pediatric airway professionals with the knowledge and skills essential for timely and effective patient care. Over the last decade, our dedication has manifested in a growing number of conferences and courses across various specialties, reflecting our unwavering commitment to advancing knowledge and best practices.

Our Mission

– To raise awareness and understanding of CODS and OSDB.

– To foster a transdisciplinary team approach for early detection and comprehensive treatment.

– To provide quality training based on scientific evidence to empower pediatric airway professionals worldwide.

Why Quality Training Matters

– Underdiagnosis: Despite their prevalence, CODS and OSDB are often underdiagnosed, emphasizing the critical need for enhanced awareness and diagnostic capabilities.

– Timely Treatment: Early detection is paramount. Our training aims to ensure healthcare professionals are well-equipped to diagnose and treat patients as early as possible.

– Transdisciplinary Excellence: We advocate for a collaborative approach, involving experts from various specialties to deliver comprehensive and effective care.

Join us in our mission to transform pediatric airway and orofacial healthcare. Together, let’s make a lasting impact on the lives of children by advancing knowledge, fostering collaboration, and ensuring quality care for every patient.
